The Government of Canada has declared October to be the annual National Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM). Disability Employment Awareness month strives to promote the hiring of persons with disabilities within our country and to increase the awareness of the positive outcomes of an inclusive community for all. Businesses are encouraged to think and talk about their business practices for inclusiveness for persons with disabilities to ensure they are accessible to all individuals living within our country. It’s time to celebrate our accomplishments while opening the discussion for future best practices!

June 17-19, 2015 are the dates set aside for the Annual Supported Employment Conference, hosted by Avalon Employment at the Newfoundland and Labrador Housing and Homelessness Network Building in Pleasantille.
This year's theme is "Building Success through Engagement and Partnership".
This is a wonderful opportunity for all Employment Corporations throughout our province to come together with their clients, employers, government agencies and other external parties to share new ideas and to celebrate the many successes of the past year.
Register early to avoid disappointment.

On Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday April 24th- 26th , 2013, the Ability Employment Corporation will be hosting the Annual Supported Employment Newfoundland & Labrador Conference at the Terra Nova Park Lodge in Port Blandford.
This is an opportunity for all Employment Corporations throughout the province to come together with their clients, employers, government agencies & other external partners to share in new ideas and celebrate the many successes of the past year for our clients.
Registration is $175 per person but you are also welcome to attend the Gala evening only on Thursday, April 25th for $35.
